Artistic Gymnastics: the team was presented yesterday at the PalaGym, with president Mantero and his boys doing the honors
Yesterday morning the premises of the “Orlando Pulmonari” Gymnasium hosted an unusual “presentation breakfast”, the modality conceived by the Ferrara Gymnastics Gym to introduce and greet his gymnasts leaving for the first stage of the Italian Team Championship organized by the Italian Gymnastics Federation, which will take place today and tomorrow in Montichiari. Greeting the boys, next to the president Franco Mantero, who then left with them towards Lombardy, a large number of staff members, partners and enthusiasts, as well as numerous welcome guests, from the sports councilor of the Municipality of Ferrara Francesco Carità to the provincial delegates of Coni and Cip Ruggero Tosi and Giuseppe Francesco Alberti, up to the president of Avis municipal Sergio Mazzini.
An excellence, the team of Men's Artistic Gymnastics: after years of work on the youth sector, in 2021 the historic promotion to Serie A1 arrived and since the jump to the top division, Pgf has always hit the final act of the competition, up to the masterpiece of 2023, which allowed it to climb to the third step of the national podium. In 2025 the goal is to confirm itself once again as one of the most beautiful realities of the top division.
In the Andrea Passini team, the captain, Steven Matteo, who last year brought an absolute Italian title back to Ferrara, Tommaso Bertarelli, now injured but ready to return as soon as possible, Emiliano Landi, the veteran and specialist of the pommel horse, the very young Luca Marchi, who is waiting for his moment to debut, the new addition Christian Zammillo, who has chosen to move here to try to make the big leap, keeping the Ukrainian champion for last. Illia Kovtun, last year silver at the Olympic Games in Paris on the parallel bars.
