Running, the Portomaggiore stage of the 'Otto Comuni' trophy. Bergossi scores five. Bragante first woman

The fifth stage of the historic multi-stage running event took place on a sunny spring Sunday 'Eight Municipalities Trophy', organized by Uisp Ferrara Committee. In the calendar of the 'eight municipalities' trophy it was the turn of the Municipality of Portomaggiore. The departure and meeting point of the almost three hundred athletes was in the central square of Piazza Umberto I. Before the start, the greeting of the mayor of Portomaggiore, Dario Bernardi, who thanked the volunteers involved in preparing the route and at the final refreshment.

A route that was divided into three laps through the streets of the center. In command a nice comparison between the home athlete Mattia Bergossi and Angelo Marchetta, who tried to get the better of the finish line until the last meters. In the end, after Marchetta's overtaking, in the very last meters before the finish line, Bergossi made the winning sprint, thus winning the fifth consecutive stage of the trophy.

The final men's overall ranking sees first Mattia Bergossi (Atletica Castenaso) in 18.54, preceding Angelo Marchetta (Gpd Salcus) 18.56 and Giovanni Luca Andreella (Running Club Comacchio) 19.40. Among the women, new success for the Rovigo native Sara Bragante (RunIt Rovigo) 23.07, second Rosanna Albertin (Atletica Corriferrara) 23.31, third place went to Francesca Moscardo (Avis Taglio di Po) 23.53. In the male students category, Francesco Canella (Atletica Bondeno) confirmed his best time for the fifth consecutive time in 13.11, followed by Michele Izzi (Atletica Estense) 13.16 and Jacopo Tagliaferri (Atletica Copparo) 14.31.

In the women's category, victory for Roberta Laura Fogli (Running club Comacchio) 16.53, then Linda Orsatti (Atletica Copparo) 17.41. The Portomaggiore stage is archived, the trophy returns on the 30th to Copparo in Piazza del Popolo with the last stage and the final awards.
