Giorgio Giannessi Award. Merlengo seeks redemption

In the same afternoon another race bears the name of a very well-known figure in the world of horse racing who held numerous roles: that of handicapper, commissioner, director of racing companies. The name is that of Mauro Montersoli to whom Alfea dedicates the handicap on the 1500 for 4 years and over. Also in this race, eight horses at the start and an indecipherable forecast due to the scarce indications coming from the competitors. Falconetta is the strongest subject in the field but his position at the weight makes his task very arduous; of the others we can say their Vera Amicizia, Fair Angel and Favorito who seems to have rediscovered his old verve.
