Filming of the movie 'La Vela della vita' in Marina di Ravenna during 'Festinvela'

In Marina di Ravenna, during 'Festivalvela', the film shooting will take place 'The Sail of Life'. This is an authentic story that takes shape in the waters of the Adriatic, in the memories and routes of those who have made sailing a vocation, a sport and a school of life. It is a film about growth, about friendship, about the transmission of values. But above all, it is a film that tells what it means to grow up with the wind in your face and an open heart.

At the center of the story is the Ravenna Sailing Club, a hotbed of talent and a symbolic place where entire generations have learned not only to sail, but to know themselves: this is where everything begins, this is where the true story of a group of young sailors takes shape, who have now become champions, communicators, artists, six people, six different paths, intertwined by a single thread: sailing.

The protagonist and inspirational figure is Matthew Plazzi, president of the club and historic protagonist of numerous editions of the America's Cup, the most prestigious sailing competition in the world. With discretion and authority, Plazzi has guided the training of many young athletes, encouraging their talent and transmitting a deep sporting culture, made of competence, respect and vision.

Among the protagonists there is Jacob Pasini, sports director and now a well-known face in sports publishing, who has been able to combine a passion for sailing and narrative ability, who, having started from those very waters, recognizes Plazzi as his first mentor and the team as the secret of his success.

Alongside them, other key figures: Gianluca Conti, former world champion, director of the film, capable of restoring truth and poetry to the story through a dry and human look. The director is supported by Elisa Bertolini: assistant director and film critic who helped build a coherent and sensitive narrative, intertwining testimonies and elegantly interpreted scenes; Luca Bello, producer for LB Media Group SRL, sports publisher and radio voice, operational engine of the project and point of reference for its media and cultural development.

Among the main actors, Rossella Ossani and the baby Joy Counts who despite his tender age has already won the affection of sailors. The film alternates archive images, shots at sea, interviews and scenes played by young actors selected to represent adolescence, challenge, friendship and self-discovery.
