Standard bearer of the Circolo Velico. Ravennate, has defeated. the competition in Veneto. and is flying to the national stages.

Matteo Ravaioli, born in Forlì in 2010, was the great protagonist in Punta Sabbioni, near Venice, in the inter-zonal selection for the Optimist class. A member of the Circolo Velico Ravennate, he dominated the competition, organized by the Compagnia della Vela di Venezia, limiting himself to 9 points with three first places and maintaining a constant performance in all the tests. In second place was Nicolò Santoro (Triestina Vela) with 23 points, followed by Giovanni Montesano (Sirena Klub N. Triestino) and Guia Legisa (Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano), with 26 points. In fifth place (32 points) was Leo Ivaldi from Ravenna, Ravaioli's teammate: these are the five athletes who guaranteed their passage to the national stages. In fact, at the end of this competition, the best have earned access to the selections on April 4, 5 and 6, which will be held in Ravenna and subsequently in Agropoli, in the province of Salerno, from April 26 to 29. From these tests, the five sailors who will represent the Italian youth in the next world events and at the European Championships will emerge.
