Basketball, clear success for IES Pisa, on the Versilia field, in Regional Division 2

Pisa, 24 March 2025 – Important and clear success for the IES Sport Pisa, on the field of Versilia, on the tenth day of the return leg of the championship Regional Division 2. In a formation changed due to some absences, coach's men Paul Campani, assisted by Maurice Black e Federico Marazzato, overwhelmed the hosts in the second half, gaining two points that could prove decisive in securing early safety.

THE REPORT – Despite the many absentees, due to injuries, illnesses and work, Argamante, Villani, Betti, De Vincentis and Gravina, the Biancocelesti take to the parquet very focused and start well, with an eloquent 9-2. The home team, however, is not having it and, dragged by a good performance by Olivi, who scores 10 points in a row, they take the lead and close the first quarter up by 6. In the second period, the bombs by Olivi and Rocchi keep their opponents in the lead, even if only by 2 points at half time (31-29). The turning point came in the second half when, having adjusted the defense, thanks to good offensive plays, Campani's men extended the lead, managing to close the third quarter up by 9. The last quarter saw IES extend their lead further, ending with a peremptory advantage of 20 points (48-68).

VALUES – Good defensive performance by the whole team, with Venetians to dominate under the basket, while in attack it is worth mentioning the excellent performance of Giusfredi, Bonacci e Raimo and the debut of perfect (year 2009) who scores 1/2 in free throws. Fruzza, victim of a minor injury in the first minutes of the match, remained on the bench.
