Basketball Under 15: the curtain falls on the first phase. Audax finishes in second to last place. Now the Coppa Toscana

The first phase of the regional championship of the category did not end well for the Audax Under 15 team. Placed in group C, after the seventh and final day of the return leg, the yellow and blue team finished in sixth and penultimate place in the standings with 6 points. In the 12 matches played in this first phase (there were 14 days but each team had a rest day in the first leg and one in the return leg due to the odd number of teams registered), the boys trained by Paul Gallerini (pictured) have collected 3 victories and 9 defeats (526 points scored and 816 conceded, difference -290).

The final standings of the first phase: Versilia 22 points; Calcinaia 20; Lucca Sky Walkers 16; Montecatini 14; Chiesina and Audax Carrara 6; Massa and Cozzile 0.

The formula now provides that, in the second phase, the first two of the seven groups into which the championship has been divided, will participate in the title phase (divided into two groups) while the others (from third to seventh) will participate in the Tuscan Cup divided into five groups. Audax has been placed in group M with Ponsacco, Montecatini, Chiesina, San Miniato, Lucca Sky Walkers and Vicarello. The Carrara team will observe the expected rest day on the first day and therefore for them the second phase will start on February 23 with the home match against Ponsacco.
