THEUnieuro wins in Piacenza the away game that could not fail against the last in the standings, fighting to avoid relegation and that at home had already beaten Fortitudo and Milan. They do it by touching 100 points for the first time in the season (until now the record had been 93 at home against Vigevano) and playing a finally continuous game except for one empty passage in the second quarter. The offensive performance by the pair of foreigners was remarkable Harper Perkovic who closes with 50 points scored (11/20 three-pointers in pairs), 25 each, a quarter of the team's production each. Good news also from Parravicini who returns to double figures for points, the second time in the second half of the season.
Forlì starts with the injured Tavernelli (left knee) and Magro (back) in the quintet and it is the center who scores the first basket of the game on an assist from the playmaker, followed by the first bomb by Harper. Forlì plays loosely in attack and defends well and after 5'20'' has already doubled its rivals on 8-16. Then it goes up to +10 on 9-19 after the first bomb by Parravicini and touches the +14 twice also at the end of the partial with the third triple by Harper.
In the 2nd quarter, with an all-Italian quintet, there is the only blank passage of Unieuro that touches +16 on 19-35, then in 5'15'' scores only 3 points allowing Piacenza to get closer thanks to a partial of 13-3 for 32-38 at 3'47'' thanks also to the awakening of Marks until that moment well contained by Harper. Dragged by the former player of Martino in Ravenna, Assigeco arrives at -4 on 36-40, but Serpilli misses twice, first the shot of -2 at 1'46'' and then that of -3 at 46'' from the interval. Forlì wakes up and in the last 100 seconds of the half scores an 8-0 that brings it back ahead in double digits with the bomb at the buzzer by Perkovic.
The Croatian is the dominator of the third quarter. Thanks above all to him, Forlì keeps Piacenza at bay, who doesn't give up, reaching -7 on 48-55 and then -8 on 52-60. But here with 8 points by Toni, Forlì responds with a partial of 14-4 for +18 after 30', with Perkovic already at 23 (17 points in the quarter).
The fourth period is a one-off. Forlì first reaches +21 (58-79), then +25 (58-83 after 32') and +27 (69-96 after 37'). The triple-digit score is sealed a few seconds later by Harper. Forlì wins its ninth away game out of 17 and looks confidently to the double, very important home engagement next week when Avellino, for a recovery, and Urania Milano will arrive at the Palafiera.
