Olimpia's playoff adventure ends with much regret, losing at home by just one point to Gualdo who goes to the promotion final for Serie B, while Pesaro closes with their heads held high. Too bad, because after a very balanced first half in the 3rd quarter the Pesaro team had taken off with a blaze of Barulli (48-40), but they were unable to maintain the inertia, allowing the visiting team to come back and overtake (52-53) with 4' left. From then on, a tense body to body fight, until 9'' from the buzzer when Battisodo, with Olimpia down by one, goes looking for the winning basket in the middle of a forest of arms: luck is not on her side, perhaps there is contact but it is not detected. Olimpia then has no choice but to stop the clock with a foul, but Gualdo is cool from the free throw line, makes both free throws and goes back to +3. In the last 2''9 only Canestrari scores 2 points.
