"Now I'm fine, finally." One hundred and six days of waiting, a back injury which tormented him for three months, then slowly he recovered, gradually returning to training in a group. Until return to the field, Saturday evening in Avellino, celebrated with double success: his, for having tasted the parquet again, and that of the Blessed, corsara at Pala Del Mauro. Alessandro Sperduto enjoys his weekly routine, between technical-tactical sessions in the gym: they seem trivial, but it hasn't been like that in the last period.

"It wasn't easy," says the 25-year-old Roman guard, who arrived in Cento in the summer after two years between Caserta and Agrigento. "For the first two months I couldn't do anything, absolutely nothing, stuck at home with a brace. And in fact I returned home to my family, in Rome, so that I could be looked after as best as possible, especially by my mother, who really helped me with everything. My thanks go to her and to the club, which gave me the opportunity in the first post-injury phase to recover with patience and alongside my loved ones. Luckily, the worst is now over. Fear for my career? Actually, no, the doctors had warned me that it would be a long process, but with optimism, and I have always thought positively."

From the race with Cividale on November 29th, to the one in Avellino, in the heat of the final sprint. Sperduto has found a Blessed different, more aware and mature. "I saw the boys doing well, more self-confident, certain of their own strengths, it's a group that has grown significantly since the start of the season. Time has certainly helped, as have the returns of some players and the new additions. Now I also hope to do my part".

The red and white winger immediately placed his first brick over the weekend, contributing substantially to the fifth success outside in the last six of Benedetto. Eleven points in 10 minutes, with personality and attributes, all qualities that are part of his repertoire. "I would have had a hard time even imagining a return like that, after a very long period out: winning by one and in this way... I'm very happy. As for the rest, I think I was useful for the team, beyond the points I was interested in bringing the right energy and I think I succeeded. With time, I will also find my best form, even if the championship calls". Starting from Sunday in Livorno. "We have six delicate games ahead of us, to be faced one at a time, but without anxiety or unnecessary pressure. The PalaMacchia is a fortress and we will always have to stay there with our heads, without ever coming unstuck".
