Important success in the playoffs for the Unahotels. It takes him a quarter and a half to find the combination, but then he manages to penetrate the vault of the Banco di Sardegna, looting it without any worries. The red and white gang finds unexpected protagonists. Starting from Jaylen Barford who, exalting himself in the early stages of the match, accumulates the energy needed to become a constant protagonist. At his side stands out Uglietti, who plays a match as an extra-luxury gregarious for grit, intelligence and decent aim. Honorable mention, finally, for a Faried who shows devastating athleticism, dominating under the boards.
Two key moments in the contest. The start of the second period when Priftis simultaneously deploys Faried, in the unusual role of power forward, and Faye, disrupting Dinamo's tactical assets and allowing the red and whites to recover (Reggio had in fact closed a not very exciting first quarter down by 6). And then the first minutes of the third quarter where Pallacanestro Reggiana takes the reins of the match, thanks to an impeccable defense, a valuable offensive phase entrusted to the aim of Cheatham and Barford and the tactical wisdom of Winstoni.
With this success theUnahotels climbs to fourth place, jointly with Milan and Trapani who play today, and takes another step forward towards the playoffs. In terms of the news, the red and white start is uncertain, with only Barford in the challenge, who scores 9 of the first 11 points for Reggio. The score, however, rewards Dinamo, who is more attentive in defense. In the second quarter, Reggio takes the lead, first thanks to a move by Priftis, then with an inspired Barford: a 10-0 break and a home advantage at 4': 29-25. Having reached the interval ahead 43-37, upon returning to the parquet Smith and his teammates trace the decisive furrow, hitting from long range with Cheatham and raising the defensive intensity. Factors that produce the +14 (57-43) at 6'. From here on, it is only Pallacanestro Reggiana.
