La Unahotels has made a new registration to compensate, at a regulatory level, the loan transfer to Rieti of Philip Gallo. Among the professionals of the Reggio Emilia basketball makes his entrance Philip Carboni, a valid athlete of the red and white Under 19 team. Carboni, born in 2007, a 1 meter tall playmaker, is the son of the president of the club on Via Martiri della Bettola: Veronica Bartoli.

In the youth team roster, the 17-year-old has produced some good performances and has risen to the honors of social media, thanks to a video that immortalizes a daring basket scored from over 25 meters away. However, at least this year, it is unlikely that the youngster will go to the roster in Serie A. It is more likely that in addition to Tommaso Bonaretti, on the bench yesterday in Scafati, already known to Priftis due to his appearances in the last championship (where he also scored a point), the new Italian passport Imran Suljanovic and Mame Saba Deme will be on the scoresheet between now and the end of the season. To date, Carboni's registration satisfies the regulatory requirement of having 6 Italians under professional contract; in the future we will see. At Pallacanestro Reggiana a similar operation was done in 2022, when Alessandro Vecchi, son of the then mayor of Reggio, Luca, was signed.
