Arezzo, May 12, 2025 – Last Friday, the Auditorium Comunale di Montevarchi hosted the fifth edition of the Premio Memoria Rossoblù 2024/2025, an eagerly awaited event and participation that saw the presence of numerous members, sports enthusiasts and Montevarchi fans. The initiative, promoted by the “Memoria Rossoblù” Association, represented an important moment of aggregation and recognition for those who have left a mark on the city’s sporting history. The evening was hosted by journalist and panathlete Sauro Paoletti, supported by Camilla Sanseverino. During the event, the Association’s constant commitment to fundraising aimed at the construction of the new Headquarters/Museum, a symbol of the city’s sporting memory, was remembered.
The new Board of Directors, elected for the next term, was also presented, composed of: Ferrucci Aldo (President), Mariani Massimo (Vice-President), Neri Stefano (Treasurer), Bartoli Federico (Secretary), Rossi Riccardo, Barbagli Sauro, Burchi Francesco, Dominici Maurizio, Lampardi Luigi, Mafucci Daniele, Sanseverino Giuseppe, Sereni Mauro. Three main awards were presented during the evening. The “Renato Pieraccioli” – Rossoblù Character 2024/2025 award was assigned to Riccardo Volpi, a reference figure in the Montevarchi sports world, designated by the Board of Directors for his long and significant connection with the football reality of “Aquila 1902 Montevarchi”.
The “Costanzo Balleri” Award – Best Player 2024/2025 went to Davide Sesti, protagonist of the L’Aquila football season. The award was determined by the sum of the votes cast Sunday after Sunday by fans through the Association’s social pages, with a total of 1.017 votes collected at the end of the 34 days of the championship. The “Giovanni Busoni” Award – Best Goalscorer 2024/2025 went to Andrea Orlandi, top scorer for L’Aquila Montevarchi in the current season. In addition to the official awards, special awards were given to figures who have left their mark on the local football scene: sports journalist Luigi Alberti, for his commitment to passionately reporting on Valdarno sport, and Adnane Essoussi, former striker for L’Aquila Montevarchi, applauded for his contribution to the team in past years.
The event benefited from the support and collaboration of the Municipal Administration of Montevarchi, the Aquila 1902 Montevarchi company, the Panathlon Valdarno and the numerous sponsors who continue to support the activities of the Associazione Memoria Rossoblù.
