Wide smile, informal approach and clear ideas. This is how the new Amaranth coach presented himself to the press, but more broadly to the city and the fans Cristian Bucchi. Someone who has been through a lot on and off the pitch and you can tell right away. After being without a bench for exactly two years, he signed a contract until June 2027. Unusual for someone who takes over during the race: "In these two years I have received offers but I wasn't entirely convinced. Rather than accept, therefore, I preferred to wait for the right one. With the president and the director, however, the spark was immediate. I asked them what kind of coach they were looking for and I found the same ambition that I have. I come here to win: if this season it will no longer be possible, we will try next season". He had no hesitation in mentioning the objective B series and to want to reach him here and soon. First, however, we have to think about the current situation: a team stung by the dismissal of Troise, with a new coach who arrived a few days ago and immediately faced with the preparation of a difficult match at home to Ternana second in the group.

Bucchi explains his priorities in these first days: "First of all I'm trying to bring back serenity and enthusiasm, because a change of coach always leaves mental aftermath. I want to find out what kind of men are behind the name on the shirt, understand their character, get to know them as human beings even before they get to know them as footballers. I found a group in good athletic condition and a positive league position: this certainly helps". On a technical level, the Roman coach has increased the pace in training to gradually introduce his own idea of football, but he won't make any sudden changes. Too few days have passed since he took over the reins of the team and Monday's match in Terni is too demanding to experiment.

In view of the Umbrian postponement, Bucchi has thrown down the gauntlet: "Personally, I'm really pumped up – he said –. Let's go and play to win, with an open face and without any fear of reverence. Ternana he lived through some complicated hours, but I don't think this changes anything in the preparation for the match, also because I wanted and had to focus above all on my team. We will be ready".
