Ciaccia to Civitanovese: "I want to see the documents"
The Lazio entrepreneur reconstructs the negotiation that lasted 50 days: "I will not give a single euro without having first consulted complete and verified data".

David Ciaccia
"I will not pay a single euro without having access to formal, complete, verified data." These are the words of David Ciaccia, the Lazio entrepreneur and former president of Teramo, who a few weeks ago came forward to acquire the Civitanova. In a note, Ciaccia complains about the failure of the owner Mauro Profili to present the requested accounting. "I have shown - the Lazio entrepreneur reconstructs - a concrete interest, offering clear, solid and verifiable guarantees right from the start, also involving the municipal administration to ensure a transparent process. More than 50 days have passed. During this time, I have not received any formal or informal response, nor have I been allowed access to company documentation useful for understanding its status. And yet I am still here. Anyone else, perhaps, would have already withdrawn. Not me". Ciaccia is asking for the accounting books by virtue of the full delegation received from the former vice president Vincenzo Lotorto, custodian of 25% of the shares. "I have not received any estimate - he continues -, not even verbal, on the possible amount of debts. I have not been told who is the keeper of the accounting books, nor where they are kept. I had asked only one thing, simply and frankly: please, let's not bring it to July 10. And instead, in the formal communication received on June 20, July 10 is indicated to me as the first available date to access the company documents. Anyone who knows football and who has ever worked on the construction of a technical project knows perfectly well that, five days before the deadline for registration for the championship, it is impossible to do anything serious". Then the guarantee on their project defined as "structured, multi-year, designed to involve the city, the territory, families and young people". Again: "I will not accept - concludes Ciaccia - unbalanced agreements or impositions. And above all, I must be free to choose who to work with, from technicians to collaborators. There are valuable footballers and top-level coaches who wait with respect and patience, ready to wear these colors. My thanks go to them. Just as I address it to a working team already operational, prepared, motivated, that every day works seriously to be ready to go. Civitanova is a proud, passionate place. Here football is not a parenthesis, it is an identity. But today, with a sense of responsibility and honesty towards the city, I must acknowledge that this opportunity has been blocked in the facts. I am here. And I want to be here. But under the conditions that Civitanova deserves, transparency, seriousness, freedom to build. Because Civitanovese - concludes the entrepreneur Ciaccia - is not a private matter. It is collective history, the identity heritage of an entire city. And it must be treated with the respect that is due to what really matters".
