Civitanovese-Recanatese: Alessandrini analyses the decisive derby
Marco Alessandrini discusses the keys to the Civitanovese-Recanatese derby, underlining the importance of episodes and mental serenity.

The expert coach Marco Alessandrini
"Enthusiasm, without looking back too much and the awareness that it is a play-off." So Mark Alessandrini presentando Civitanova-Recanati area and the coach, now a Senigallia resident by adoption, speaks with full knowledge of the facts considering that, in his career, he has played a lot of games like this. Curiosity: among the many teams he has led, there is not the red and blue one, even if perhaps some informal contact, even this season, has not been lacking.
Alessandrini, you have seen numerous matches: what could be the key to shifting the balance?
"It is difficult to make an analysis at this point. The good and the bad of the football it's unpredictability and in the space of 90 minutes many factors can have an impact. In cases like these, however, the episodes are fundamental: you have to build them, but making predictions risks being a gamble".
There are numbers though with the Civitanova who have won only once at home in 16 games.
"Numbers count up to a certain point. We cannot ignore this data which certainly suggests to us that they are more predisposed to away matches, also considering the six victories obtained. Maybe there will be the pressure of a historic, hot and demanding place but, in this aspect, I see more advantages than disadvantages".
She had Marco Raparo, an illustrious absentee on Sunday, under her command and appreciated him.
"I don't do anyone any wrong by saying that he is the symbol of the Recanatise, the one who has experienced the joys and sorrows of this team and who has fully embraced the cause and the politics of the Company. Giandonato however is a luxury player for the category, with certainly different characteristics but who I would never want to find myself facing as an opponent".
Are these the classic games that prepare themselves?
"Let's say that a coach, at this time, essentially affects the mental side. The technical aspect is not secondary, of course: the important thing is to make the most of the work done in these months".
Did you expect such a painful derby?
"The Recanatise, as it is composed, should not have had these worries. The negative assumptions that we have often spoken about were heavy and have left, willingly or unwillingly, traces. When I saw the Civitanova it didn't make a bad impression on me, but it undoubtedly pays for the 3 coaches (plus Mercanti, ed.) who have taken turns on the bench, who have also disoriented the many players who have taken turns. Who will win? Very tough prediction. I believe that the team that is mentally more serene and will be able to maintain lucidity in the decisive moments will prevail".
