Second 0-3 by default and a 500 euro fine on the way for Alma who didn't show up on Sunday against Montefano for the simple reason that the team is no longer there. We talk about this inglorious end with Rambaldo Forzini who with 110 appearances and 30 goals was one of the most present and at the same time one of the goalscorers of Alma Juventus. The striker, who had his best qualities in physical solidity and speed of execution, characterized the Seventies of the last century. Forzini (in the photo above the second from the left next to the former libero Mazzanti, who recently passed away) arrived at Alma (in Serie D) from Ravenna in C in the 1973/74 season and remained there for four years in a row, until 1976/77, the first year of C after the ride of Santarelli's granata in the previous year.
Does Forzini know that Alma is in a bad situation?
"Yes, I saw, unfortunately. Mario Barbaresi keeps me constantly updated and then every now and then I read news on social media. I know that on Sunday for the second time she didn't show up to play. A bad episode. I'm very sorry because it's a historic club and I would be extremely sorry if it all ended".
It wasn't like that in your day, was it?
"I came to Fano called by Alfiero Magini, the president who, I think, had arrived after Ciancamerla. A really good person, I remember him with great affection. The following year Gianni Gentili became president, a tough guy especially when it came to salaries, but in the end he was a great gentleman. With him and with a coach like Attilio Santarelli the climb to Serie C began, achieved also thanks to a great number of players".
Forzini, what kind of years were those with the garnet shirt?
"Beautiful. I have indelible memories. I really enjoyed myself in Fano, because there was a remarkable spirit of harmony among the players. We really liked playing football, at the time it was the most important thing for us".
Do you have any particular memories?
"I don't have one, because in reality there are many. Starting from the fact that we were good together. Companions who over time became friends. So much so that after almost fifty years we still see each other. The last time in Gradara, a meeting organized by 'Micio' Bianchi. Barbaresi, Servadio, poor Buratti, Zanetti, Cazzola. But also Guerra, Vincenzo Bologna, Pagliacci, Piagnerelli... a great group".
What if Alma were to disappear?
"I would be speechless. I am attached to that shirt, all my old memories are there...". Silvano Clappis
