Mesola, thanks to Comacchiese's away defeat, wins and returns to the lead alone by overcoming Valsanterno. On the Pontelangorino pitch, where Mesola has always won, Cantelli confirms himself as the match winner by scoring once again on this playing field. In the packed stands, with a large and festive female presence, the two teams face each other and the opponents are much faster in the exchanges and determined at the beginning. Valsanterno's first chance comes from an incorrect disengagement by Marcolini on which Calderoni remedies. In the 26th minute Mesola tries with Mantovani, who from the edge kicks a weak shot without problems for Tonini, and after a minute Davo tries again with more power, but the goalkeeper blocks again. Shortly after the half hour Cantelli shows off all his class, blocks the ball at the feet of a midfielder in midfield, dribbles two defenders at speed on the wing, enters the area and beats Tonini with an uncatchable shot in mid-air. The second half sees an initial onslaught by the guests under the goal defended by Calderoni, but without ever shooting on goal, then in the 54th minute, with a rebound on a contested ball, the latter arrives in the area at the feet of Ferro, who does not think twice, loads up with his right foot and scores the second. Mesola is in control of the game and the guests appear incapable of reacting. Neffati in the 60th minute passes a through ball to Davo, who fails to get past his defender with a shot and the ball ends up in the corner: Davo tries again shortly after, but this time the shot blocked by Tonini is powerful. On the change of front, a first-time free kick by Gallinucci, just over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Izzaoui fires a central shot, while a few minutes from the end on a cross by Davo, a save on the line by Nati, who steals the ball from the onrushing Allegrucci. The fans' exultation for the victory and the solitary lead is unstoppable.
