Sipos's seal was not enough. Lecco attacks Verona. A penalty in the final minutes extinguishes the joy

Lecco takes the lead, but is caught up in the final minutes by Virtus Verona. Mister Valente's Lecco team failed to capitalise on the initial lead scored by sipos, with a great header, and in the end they have to settle for a point that allows them to remain +1 on the playout zone.

Ready, set and on Lecco takes the lead immediately. In the 5th minute, a nice run down the right by Kritta, the ball goes to Frigerio and a great cross to the centre for sipos which, with a great twist of the head, puts it in the net. Virtus Verona struggles to become dangerous and in the 23rd minute Sipos shoots with a sure shot from a few steps away, but his conclusion is deflected into a corner by a defender. In the 25th minute Zarpellon goes away on the left and then unleashes a low cross shot that ends up just wide. Before the end of the half Daffara turns and ends up out.

In the second half the Virtus Verona steps on the accelerator and in the 7th minute only the post says no to a conclusion by Gatti. Two minutes later Furlan is very good at blocking with his feet a shot from the left by De Marchi. Virtus Verona continues to push and at 27' a miracle by Furlan is needed to defuse Mehic's conclusion on a cross by Manfrin. At 35' the pressure of the home team is rewarded. Ferrini in an attempt to clear hits De Marchi in the area. It is a penalty that Manfrin transforms by displacing Furlan.
