FOLIGNO - A Siena reduced to the bare bones collapses at the Blasone in Foligno, a facility that was the scene of the first challenge in D, after the glory years, in September 2014. In Umbria, however, the outcome yesterday was different. A dull and passive Robur has in fact collected yet another bad figure, definitively giving up on the last and platonic seasonal objective, namely second place, but at this rate even the simple qualification for the useless playoffs becomes complex. It was immediately clear that it would be another complicated afternoon.

At the start, the pressing of the highly motivated home team puts the Bianconeri in difficulty. Calderini and Krhibech are in fact a thorn in the side of Magrini's defense from the start, who holds out in the first quarter of an hour with some difficulty. Achy risks an own goal in the 23rd minute when, in an attempt to anticipate an opponent, he hits the crossbar. From the following corner, Tomassini, with a header, comes close to the target. Ceccuzzi's right-footed shot (26') goes just wide. But Fulgens grows while Robur seems packed and slow.

Shortly after the half hour mark, Semprini scored (it would have been news) on a cross from Morosi but the referee disallowed it for a push from Masini on former Badesse Schiaroli. Siena had the best chance in the first half injury time: Bianchi's cross for Farneti who found Boccardi with the assist. The insertion of the number 10 was out by a hair's breadth. The second half, stopped for a few minutes due to an illness in the stands, was all Foligno. The home striker Tomassini broke the deadlock with an insertion on Settimi's cross shot in the middle of the statues of the visiting defence.

The reaction despite the sterile changes is not there and Posada with a personal action burns the rearguard and Giusti for the doubling that puts the credits to the match. Those of the season still have a good month to go. Six substantially useless games that risk being an annoying appendix to a season that started badly and risks ending worse.
