Lucchese - The final double sprint begins. Salvation to be won on and off the pitch

Avanti un altro. The title of a well-known television programme perfectly suits what is happening in the Lucchese, from a corporate point of view. Up to now there have been many "suitors", official or not, who, in words, have expressed their interest in taking over the company from "Slt" of Rome, the current owner of Lucchese. Let us remember, for example, the "Australians"; then the "Terni"; then the "Romans", and finally the Sicilian-Venetian who trades in meat.

Why did none of these alleged expressions of interest come to fruition? Perhaps because, at the base, it did not have the right guarantees? It seems to us that the answer is obvious. And, so, a month after the end of the championship, the Lucchese is in full brawl with an epilogue, read the failure, which no one would like to think about, but which, instead, appears inevitable, if a solution does not come forward buyer solid.

Someone, however, should ask why the Lucchese Has it lost, over time, that appeal it has always had in the world of football? From "little queen" of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, to… Cinderella, amid the disinterest of the business world (and not only) of our country.

While waiting to see if a new contender for the... hand of the old Pantera will appear on the scene, we take note that the team is continuing to do its duty, in a serious and responsible way, with the aim of achieving salvation, on the field, almost certainly through the play-outs, since there is a large step between the risk zone and tranquility.

On Saturday, in Legnago, the team took home only one point, because they were not good and lucky enough to close the match in the first half. Now the hope is that, on the occasion of the almost bottom of the table on Sunday against Ternana, Catanese (photo) and Tumbarello may be available. In the meantime, we salute the great performance of Gucher and the rediscovered scoring ability of Magnaghi, now one step away from double figures.

Finally, an update on the corporate situation. It seems that the summit between President Longo and Auditor Mayor Varetti has been postponed to next week, due to the latter's unforeseen commitments outside Lucca.
