A result of absolute prestige for an athlete of thePoliciano Sports Union at the end of the fiftieth edition of the Rome-Ostia International Half Marathon last Sunday. The Arezzo Michael Pastorini (pictured) in fact reached the finish line in eighteenth place overall (seventh among the Italians and out of approximately eight thousand participants) with a time of 1 hour, 8 minutes and 56 seconds, just ten minutes and eight seconds more than the winner, the Kenyan Rop Gideon.

In his category, Pastorini placed twelfth overall. His time of 1h08'56" is equivalent to his personal record in a half marathon and is among the best ever for an athlete from the province of Arezzo. A result that testifies to the growth of the runner from Policiano.

Another noteworthy result from last weekend's competitions is also the one in the cross-country club championship, held last Sunday along the stands of the walls of Lucca, in which the Kenyan athlete of Up Policiano Simon Kibet Loitanyang obtained eighth place overall, a placing that will allow the club of president Fabio Sinatti to participate in the next Italian cross-country championships scheduled for March 15 and 16 in Cassino.
