PIETRASANTA – Pietrasanta's negative moment continues, losing 1-0 against Pontremolese, the best team seen this year at the Comunale. Verdi's team has shown that it is currently the team in the best form of the entire Promozione championship. Suffice it to say that despite the heavy penalty of 10 points in the standings, the guests have climbed to third place in the standings. A real battleship against which Pietrasanta crashed yesterday at home.

Pietrasanta suffered from the absence of the midfield beacon Biagini, and the episodes that always go a bit wrong, given that in the end a draw would have been the fairest result. The match is beautiful and vibrant from the first few minutes, with both teams trying to win. The balance is broken in the 31st minute when Ceciarini has a free gap and from a tight angle finds the right foot that is worth the lead.

It's a bad blow for Pietrasanta, who however come back with more conviction in the second half. In the 53rd minute, following a free kick, everything seems ready for the equaliser, but Remedi doesn't find the time to shoot on goal. It's Pietrasanta's best moment, but the drive fades and Pontremolese could strike on the counterattack on at least a couple of occasions. Pietrasanta's forwards never find the right opening, Filippi behind is a real bulwark. Moriconi's header in the 83rd minute that grazes the crossbar is the reflection of Pietrasanta's bad moment, while Pontremolese has shown that they are in a magical period in which everything works.
