Serious defeat for Candeloro's team, which loses the match and the lead. Comacchiese is dangerous after 20', creating two clear goal opportunities, first with Noschese who misses the goal with his head after a bad defensive intervention, and then with Tavolieri who, alone in front of the goalkeeper, wastes a chance with his right foot after a good team action, kicking at the goalkeeper. The first half doesn't offer any other excitement, but Comacchiese seems to be in control of the game. In the second half, Comacchiese attacks with more determination, but after several attempts from outside and a sterile ball circulation, Comacchiese is surprised on the counterattack; after an action that isn't finished in the right way, Corticella starts to turn things around, with Ceesay sensationally taking the lead in the 37th minute of the second half with a shot from outside the area that ends up in the corner. There's a lot of tension at the end and in the 40th minute Noschese is sent off from the bench for protesting against the referee. In the seven minutes of extra time, the efforts of the Venetians to catch up were rendered useless by the final joke, in the 52nd minute with Guerra on the counterattack who scored a right-footed shot that went just wide of the post.
