It was hard, for Lorenzo Lollo (pictured), staying out for so long. Watching his teammates, without being able to contribute. Damned soleus injury. Now the Juventus midfielder he is ready to come back and give a hand to the Robur to achieve the goal it has set for itself.

Lollo, how are you?

"Good. I've been training well for two weeks now. I'm a little behind in terms of condition, I can't be 100 percent, but I expect, and if everything goes as it should, to be back in shape within a fortnight or so. Obviously I can't wait to get back on the pitch. I want to give everything and more in this final rush of the season."

It's hard to stay on the sidelines...

"It's very difficult to watch so many games without being able to play them. I've always been there, I've always spoken to the guys, but I couldn't actually do anything. It's a shame, especially considering the ups and downs my teammates have been through. In the last few days, however, I've seen the team doing very well, more relaxed. In fact, there haven't been any totally wrong games, regardless of the results."

You spoke about tranquility: do you therefore support the thesis that this Robur, especially at home, lacks the right serenity?

"Yes. After the negative results at the end of 2024, especially against Fezzanese and Trestina, we lost a bit of mental lightness. We suffered every little situation, unable to react mentally, I wouldn't say physically. But the bad period is now behind us and we have to face the end of the season at our best, to conquer second place. We have everything to succeed".

Has an explanation been given for the 'period of ups and downs'?

"I think many factors came into play, injuries, flu, we were never able to train all together."

Tomorrow at the Franchi the Newfoundland Trajan. "Another difficult match, like all of them. In the first leg they put us in difficulty and also last season they gave us a hard time. But we are playing in our stadium and we will have to face the challenge with, indeed, light-heartedness and belief in our potential. We are in a good psycho-physical condition".

The gong is approaching: have you thought about your future?

"I still have one year left on my contract. I would like to stay in Siena as long as possible. When the time comes we will make the necessary evaluations with the owners. I would like to continue playing for a few more years. Yes, with the Robur shirt".
