Unchanged distances (five points) between the buonconvento and Montepulciano Station at the top of the Siena group of third category championship: both won, but the news is given by the draw of the Quercegrossa which brings the gap between second and third to 12. If the championship ended like this, there would be no play-off! But let's go in order. Buonconvento won in Ancaiano 2-1 (goals by Caccamo and Pittalis on one side and Ferrandi on the other) while Montepulciano Stazione prevailed 4-3 at home against a tough Geggiano (hat-trick by Mazzolai and goals by Sallami, and for the guests Pieri, Natali and Rinaldi). Quercegrossa, on the other hand, did not go beyond a 2-2 draw at home against Pievescola, being caught up in third place by Monticchiello, who won 1-0 in Rapolano (goal by Andreini). Castellina Scalo, fifth and still fighting for the play-offs (if they are played...) won with a clear 3-0 at home against Chiusdino, thanks to goals by Monteverde, Schiano and Prazza. The rest is academic: that is, honoring the values ​​of sport and planning for the future. In this perspective, Sporting Gracciano won the intra-municipal derby with Agrestone 4-1 (a brace by Lotti, Pesce and an own goal for the locals and Lapucci for the guests) and Sant'Albino beat Monteriggioni 2-0 (Vata and Cozzi Lepri). Virtus Biancoazzurra-Montanina will be played tonight.

In the Arezzo group, a bitter trio of defeats for our three teams. Virtus Chianciano, four days after their triumph in the Provincial Cup, lost 1-0 to Monsigliolo: now they must regain their concentration after the deserved celebrations… Petroio instead lost 3-0 at home to the penultimate Monterchiese, while Montallese was beaten at home by the strong Strada San Niccolò 4-2 (Balliu and Hamiti the goalscorers).
