We come back to talk about the Massimiliano Canestrelli Trophy, now in its eighth edition, organised by Team Cicloidea, with the patronage of the Municipality of Montecatini Terme. The cycling race for amateurs, also valid as a test of the Tuscan Cup, will remember the Pescia merchant passionate about cycling, who died prematurely in 2016 due to an illness. A race that combines competitive spirit and solidarity, as the competition foresees that the proceeds will be donated to charity to theisolates, an acronym for the Italian Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, which deals with the assistance of ALS patients and the promotion of scientific research to combat this insidious neurodegenerative disease. Hence the invitation to amateurs to be present at this race scheduled for Sunday 6 April, for which it is already possible to pre-register on the website www.uisp.it/toscana/ciclismo/menu-integrato/.

The unofficial start will be at 9 am from Viale Verdi in Montecatini Terme, with the unofficial start, while the official start after a short transfer section will be from Borgo a Buggiano, in the Santa Maria area. The route offers 5 times a completely flat 11 km circuit through Casa Bianca, Chiesina and Borgo a Buggiano, then the competitors will return to Montecatini and face the short climb of Vico for a total of 74 km, with the finish line on Viale Verdi. At the eighth Trofeo Massimiliano Canestrelli, the first three competitors in each category will be awarded. Please note that the race is limited to a maximum of 200 participants and the registration fee is 17 euros.
