In Montevarchi, the youth cycling festival will be held on April 1st with the Montevarchi City Cup and the 2nd Renato Sassarelli Memorial. 360 young athletes will compete on the city course. President Bindi: "A positive signal for the future".

It's a celebration of youth cycling on Monday 1st April for Easter Monday 2024 in Montevarchi. First and second year rookies and students will compete for the Montevarchi City Cup and the 2nd Renato Sassarelli Memorial, former manager of Gs Olimpia Valdarnesi. The Olimpia company boasts 63 years of activity. 360 young athletes are ready for Easter Monday, including 190 rookies and 170 students.
"We have never had such a high number of participants. A good sign for the future", comments the president of Gs Olimpia Francesca Bindi. The first year's rookies will start at 9am, the second year's at 11am, on the same route as Terranuova Lungo Argine Arno, Acquaborra, Levane, and on the second lap the Querce climb. The students will begin the adventure at 14,30 pm, climbing the Querce da Levane twice, then the 1500 meter ramp of Caposelvi (peak over 20 percent), Mercatale Valdarno, via Sugherella, viale Diaz and Viale Matteotti, where the departures and arrivals will take place, in front of the Vecchio Forno Canu. In 2023 for the Allievi, Giuseppe Sciarra won the sprint over Giuseppe Pavidi Degli Innocenti and Michele Pascarella.
