Yesterday was a day to remember for Martin Marcellusi, class of 2000 of the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, who in the second stage of the Great Way in Galicia he won a brilliant second sprinting to the finish line in A Estrada behind the Dane Magnus Cort Nielsen. Thanks to this performance, Marcellusi rises to second place in the overall ranking, 14 seconds behind Cort himself. In the group of the best, composed of about thirty athletes at the finish line, there were also Luca Covili and Luca Paletti.
These are Marcellusi's words: "The stage suited my characteristics well and I knew I could get a good result, even though there was the unknown of tiredness after the effort of two days ago. In the final there were three of us in front, thanks to the great work of my teammates, I managed to set up the sprint in the best way. Nielsen was stronger in the sprint, but taking second place behind him is still a great satisfaction".
Today the individual time trial from Ourense to Pereiro de Aguiar, which will define the general classification.
