The dream of victory has vanished Luca Paletti when the dirt road traveled by many walkers ended Santiago de Compostela and finished 15th overall. Second among the Italians and just off the podium in the Under 23 ranking. Confirming his brilliant condition, the twenty-year-old son of art after the long stage on Saturday with over 3000 meters of altitude difference, tried with Luca Covili from Pavullo with determination to improve the ranking but unfortunately the Uno X squadron with 5 units in the leading group cancelled his courageous attempt. At the end of the last stage he finished exhausted in 22nd place, preceding his expert teammate Covili, who finished 26th in the Galician race.

As per tradition, the road season will open in Italy on Wednesday 5th March with the Trophy Laigueglia where in addition to Luca Covili the Reggio-Modena team VF Group Bardiani he could also call up the twenty-year-old Paletti.

Gaia Masetti from Fiorano finished in the group (56th) in the opening race of the Northern classics. The road season for juniors began yesterday with none of the Modena riders who compete in various teams in the region (there being no teams in our province, editor's note) in the top ten. The Gran Premio Giacobazzi will start on Sunday in Nonantola, where the Modena women will compete in addition to the men.
