RCS Sport has made official the wild cards for the Tour of Italy and the Modena-Reggiano team of the VF Group Bardiani -CSF Faizanè will participate in its 43rd Giro d'Italia. The team has always had as its goal not only participation, a goal that this year fills with enthusiasm, also thanks to the second consecutive year of VF Group as main sponsor, a Modena company specialized in large construction works.
The satisfaction of the Vf Group is obvious: "Being for the second consecutive year the main sponsor of a historic team of the Reverberi family is a source of great satisfaction. Last year was an extraordinary experience for us, culminating with the excellent performances of our young people including the promising Giulio Pellizzari, who demonstrated the full value of our project, adding the 18th place in the general ranking of Luca Covili from Pavullo. This year we want to continue on this path, giving young talents the opportunity to emerge. Our trust in the Reverberi family is obvious".
General manager Bruno Reverberi echoes him, underlining the opportunity to offer young people the chance to emerge by competing against World Tour teams: "We are the youngest team in the world and we will continue to work to bring Italian cycling to the top as we have done with champions of the caliber of Colbrelli, Ciccone, Zana and Pellizzari. The Giro d'Italia is the crucial stage to give our guys visibility".
This year, the pink race will particularly touch the Modena and Reggio Emilia areas with the Viareggio-Castelnuovo Monti stage with the S. Pellegrino in Alpe and the one the following day starting from Modena.
