From Ferrara to Bondeno, the enthusiasm of the first stage of the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali is still in the hearts, which saw the triumph of a big name like Caleb Ewan but also two territories united in the name of cycling. "Sport won - these are the words of the mayor of Bondeno Simone Saletti -, what I liked most is that we managed to bring a race of this level here, which not only touches the capital but is a circuit that has crossed three of our hamlets. It is also the result of a partnership between Ferrara and Bondeno, uniting the city to a smaller municipality that also wanted to tell its niches and its excellences". On this great day organized by the Gs Emilia that has renewed the desire to experience emotions with great cycling, thoughts also return to the Giro d'Italia of Rcs, wondering if in addition to the prospect of other races signed Amici, there could also be the 'pink' race.

"We hosted the Giro in my first term too – answers Mayor Alan Fabbri, at the start of the Coppi and Bartali on Tuesday –, it always has different dynamics and it doesn't depend on us, but if there is, we will give maximum availability. If we ask? We always ask, then the routes vary. Cycling represents an important tradition for Italy and for the province of Ferrara and also with the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali of the Gs Emilia, I saw a lot of enthusiasm and we are very happy to have had this stage". "Our city lends itself very well to international events – adds Councillor Francesco Carità –. With the Gs Emilia we will continue to work to keep sport at the centre of the political agenda. And the dream of bringing the Giro back here remains". And if we will have to wait a little longer for the pink race, there is a closer future that, after the International Week dedicated to two historic figures like Coppi and Bartali, could bring to the city of Este the name of another champion who united and made Italy fall in love. "With Ferrara and then Bondeno I found great collaboration and for this I thank them - says Adriano Amici, historic patron of the Gs Emilia - the day we saw was a beautiful start that was crowned with the sprint finish of Caleb Ewan, among the strongest in the world". And regarding Carità's statement, which foresees the continuation of the collaboration, he lets the ideas on the table filter through. "With the Ferrara administration we have created considerable enthusiasm - adds Amici -, we can think about a start of another important race like the Memorial Pantani, from Ferrara to Cesenatico already next year, but I would hope to bring the Giro dell'Emilia uniting the city of bicycles with Bologna and San Luca. I would like to be able to close my career as an organizer with a spectacular event from Ferrara to Bologna". All that remains is to wait and hope, then.
