Cycling: from Siena to Montalcino the Eroica Juniores

Siena, May 17, 2025 – Saturday, May 17, on the eve of the arrival of the stage in Piazza del Campo in Siena of the Giro d'Italia, the fifth edition of the Eroica Juniores will take place, starting from the city of the Palio and arriving in Montalcino, an international race valid for the Coppa Andrea Meneghelli. Among the 31 registered teams, foreign teams from the Czech Republic, San Marino, Germany, Slovenia, and Romania stand out. The race will take place on a route that will take you from Siena to Montalcino for a total of 107 kilometers and will also see many of the best Italian teams at the start. So far, no Italian rider has managed to raise their arms to the sky in Piazza del Popolo in Montalcino.

THE PATH: It is 107 kilometers without long climbs but with numerous sometimes steep climbs. There are four sections of dirt road in total, for a total of about 24 kilometers, in the localities of La Piana, Le Crete, Sesta and Argiano. Dirt roads in perfect conditions with a well-maintained and beaten surface, with arrival expected in Piazza del Popolo in Montalcino around 16,40:XNUMX.
