Blue Day in Tuscany: Salvatore Cioffi Memorial in Casenuove di Empoli

Another one “Blue Day“ is scheduled in Tuscany with the youth cyclingThe appointment is for tomorrow morning at New houses of Empoli with the third Salvatore Cioffi Memorial organized by San Miniato Ciclismo with the two Esordienti races valid for the Provincial Championships plus that of the Students. In total 250 competitors engaged on the local circuit plus the Le Casette climb that every year is covered by the Florence-Empoli in the final part of the race.

In Casenuove the meeting point is at the Cioffi Restaurant with the start of the first year beginners race (66 registered) at 8.50. Four laps of 4,200 km (Casenuove, Pozzale, Casenuove) plus the Le Casette, Corniola climb and the arrival after 27 kilometers. At 10 the start for the second year beginners (73 registered) with 5 laps of the circuit plus two Casette climbs for a total of 38,800 km. The last race is that of the Students, without a provincial title at stake, over a distance of 56 km with the climb to be repeated three times. There will be 113 athletes at the start, which will be at 11.20 with the conclusion shortly after 12.30.

On the city walls of Lucca, the Giovanissimi dell'UC Empolese (whose Esordienti and Allievi will be at the starting line of the Casenuove race) will instead be engaged in the event "Waiting for the Giro d'Italia". Departure scheduled for 15.30:XNUMX.
