Cycling, Tomassini and Barsottelli the best in Borgo a Buggiano
In the Bellavista Grand Prix with 113 starters

A race for amateur cyclists
Borgo a Buggiano (Pistoia), 3 March 2025 - There were 113 athletes involved in the Bellavista Grand Prix, organized by Ciclistica Borgo a Buggiano in collaboration with Moto Guzzi Prato-Angolo del Pirata. The race was also valid as the last test of the Tour Moto Guzzi Prato. The first overall success was achieved by Marco Tomassini, Master 1 of the Pedale Bellariese 2016 of Rimini who preceded Calagreti of Team Alpin Massinelli, while with third place Lucio Margheriti (Il Monte) was the first of the Master 3 category ahead of Marzilli (Agliana Ciclismo). The best among the Elite Sport instead, Emanuele Sciamanna (Olimpia Cycling Team). In the second race, the overall success was for Master 6 Massimo Barsottelli (Speedy Bike) thanks to a final sprint that allowed him to anticipate Gabriele Simoni of Ciclo Team San Ginese, the best among the Master 5. The other category successes were for Stefano Martin (New Mt Bike Team 2001) and Rinaldo Barabotti (Cicli Puccinelli) in the Master 8. Finally, among the female representatives, the Italian champion Valentina Pierotti (Angolo del Pirata) prevailed over Alessandra Lari (Bicisport Sanguinetti) and Kelly Sichi (Cycling Team Zerosei). A beautiful event that took place in Borgo a Buggiano, the town also celebrates hosting the Coppa Pietro Linari every year on August 18, a national race for the junior category.
