On the paths of Camerino and the Lands of the Varano Offroad the shadow of the Chilean lingers Ignacio Florido Gallo, the standard-bearer of the Dmt Racing Team by Marconi which is increasingly characterising the spring of mountain bike. The South American runner took his third victory in the month, after those at the GF Le Vie di Francesco in Umbria and the Marathon Monte Calvo in Lazio but above all at the Lessinia Legend raced in Veneto just 24 hours earlier, demonstrating that he is in sensational form. Gallo made a clean sweep on the 48 km for 1.520 meters of the main route, stopping the clocks at 2h03'03“ with a lead of 1'35“ over his teammate Mattia Toccafondi, third was Lorenzo Pierpaoli (Team Cingolani Specialized) at 1'49“. David Rinaldoni (Passatempo Cycling Team) at 4'24“ and Andrea Imolesi (Asd Scatenati) at 6'46“ were off the podium.
Among the women, first was Giulia Rinaldoni (Bravi Platforms Team) who in 2h42'10“ prevailed by 12'43“ over Claudia Massaccesi (Ju Green Asd Gorla Minore), third was Elena Bonacci (Ven Mtb) at 12'58“.
The race, which enjoyed the support of the municipalities of Camerino and Serrapetrona, of Unicam, of Contram and of Io Non Crollo, was valid for the circuits Apennines Superbike and Bike Tour Coppa Marche. The organizers thank all those who in various ways contributed to the success of what was in all respects the off-road appetizer of the great event of June 20-22, the three days dedicated to the GF Terre dei Varano in superleggera, with many side events for a real festival dedicated to two wheels.
