Team Soudal di Montemurlo was the protagonist with the victory of Sandra Mairhofer and the third place of Dario Cherchi, in the Granfondo Castello di Monteriggioni. A demanding route and difficult weather conditions, with stretches of mud, but the team from Prato was able to be a protagonist, demonstrating that it can count on an excellent collective. The 2025 edition took place on a route of about 50 km with 1.300 meters of altitude difference. The men's race saw Dario Cherchi come close to full success. After leading for a long time together with a leading group, the Team Soudal representative was involved in a fall just two kilometers from the finish line, but despite this he managed to finish in third position. In the women's field, Sandra Mairhofer signed her first victory of 2025, jumping into the lead from the first kilometers and crossing the finish line with a lead of 6 minutes over the second. Leonardo Paez also did well, seventh overall at 43'' from the winner; Alessio Agostinelli finished in tenth place overall, Alessio Trabalza nineteenth. "I'm very happy with this victory – said Mairhofer – I pushed from the first climb without paying too much attention to my opponents, and I immediately took a good advantage".
