The date of the Coppi and Bartali Week he is approaching, returning to Ferrara after many years with a stage that starts from the capital and arrives in Bondeno. It was in fact 2001 when in the first stage, on Viale Cavour, in the shadow of the Castle, in an imperious sprint Ivan Quaranta won on a beautiful day kissed by the sun and the public of that now distant March 27. Today, after more than two decades, the Settimana Coppi e Bartali returns to the land of Ferrara. Once again it will be the stage that will open the 5-day stage race, on March 25, organized by the Gs Emilia.

On Monday, March 24, the caravan will arrive in the city for the ritual of preliminary operations at the sports hall and will begin to fill the city with vehicles and runners. On Tuesday, March 25, it will be pure spectacle. The starting area will be in Piazza Castello and the beautiful ritual of the signature sheet will begin at 10.40:11.45 with the parade of runners arriving from Piazza Travaglio. At 11.50:XNUMX the start will be given and, once their looks are attached to their pedals, the cyclists will move to via Pomposa for the official start at XNUMX:XNUMX.

From here they will touch Villanova, Viconovo, Fossalta, Baura, they will pass at 12.31 on the only grand prix of the day set on the Po di Volano bridge, they will retrace the road from Villanova to Baura and off towards Ruina, Fossa d'Albero, Malborghetto, Ferrara (13.39) with via Bacchelli, via Catena and Viale Po towards Vigarano Pieve and Bondeno at 14.07. Here they will begin the two laps of a circuit that includes via Provinciale, Scortichino, Gavello, Pilastri, Burana and the passage under the finish line set in via XX Settembre under which they will pass at 14.50 and then at 15.33 for the final sprint.

The team buses, instead, will be positioned at the sports field parking lot. It is a 174.5 km stage that will make hearts beat to the rhythm of the riders' pedals, because the emotion it gives is always the same as in the past.
