Nearly 200 young cyclists participated in the Pistoiesi Society Trophy, remembering historical figures of cycling.
There were just under 200 beginners and students who took part in the Pistoia Society Trophy within the scope of the 'Blue day' called by the same youth clubs of Pistoia and by the Provincial Committee of Pistoia of the Federcycling. Three races that have allowed us to remember unforgettable cycling figures such as Maurizio Poltri, Ivano Landi, Sauro Coppini and Piero Pratesi, the motorcycle relay, technical escort of the Pistoia Motorcycle Group, who died in a road accident during the junior race in Stabbia on May 4. In his memory and to remember him, the Provincial Committee and the clubs have decided to set up a Challenge for the Allievi category, the first of which was this one in Albinatico, the other two the race in Traversagna and that in Vangile.
And we come to the three races of the day with that of the first year rookies won in a sprint over the entire group by Vincenzo Vito from Campania of the Cesaro Franco Ballerini Team. The provincial title was won by Lorenzo Petracchi of Pol. Milleluci di Casalguidi. The second year rookies race also ended in a sprint with the success of Tommaso Marini of the Pisan company Coltano Grube. Here the provincial title for Vincenzo Muscia another rookie from the Pol. Milleluci youth team. The third and final race of the day was that of the Allievi. Niccolò Nieri won the sprint with a compact group. The Pistoia provincial champion jersey ended up on the shoulders of Daniele Bacci of the Valdinievole Team.
