Sporting Club Montecatini: victories for the men's and women's teams in Serie B1

Encouraging start to the championship for the men's and women's teams of Montecatini Sports Club. Both the men, led by Daniele Balducci, that women, led by Julia Ferrari, have achieved a victory in the first two days of the tournament series B1. The men first lost at home, 4-2, against Tennis Club Modena and then violated the courts of Sporting Club Sassuolo with a score of 4-2. The women raised the white flag, 4-0, in their home stadium in front of San Giorgio del Sannio and then conquered, 3-1, Padova in the recovery of the first round, postponed due to rain. In the next round, scheduled for both Sunday 11 May, the men will play in Treviglio while the women will play in Bologna against Virtus Tennis.

Against Modena, the thermal victories came in singles thanks to Felix Milan Welte (6-3, 6-4) to Federico Marchetti and in doubles thanks to the pair formed by Balducci and Welte (6-0, 6-0) to Marchetti–Marandon. Against Sassuolo, in singles Balducci beat Alberto Nicolini 6-2, 6-2, Welte defeated Filippo Bettini 6-3, 6-4, the doubles composed of Welte and Davide Covi defeated Chiletti-Toschi 6-4, 7-6 and the one formed by Balducci and Braccini had the better of Bettini-Nicolini 6-3, 6-7, 10-4.

Against Padua, victories for Gloria Ceschi 6-2, 7-5 against Federica Rita Arcidiacono, Vittoria Benedetti 6-3, 6-4 against Victoria Zenato and Ceschi-Benedetti 7-5, 4-6, 13-11 against Gaia Sanesi and Serena Agostini.
