Pecco smiles. And that's already great news. He smiles and sends messages soaked in optimism. His Mugello started off on the right foot. And not just because his Ducati was the best on Friday at the Italian GP. Yes, even better than those of the Marquez brothers, who finished, one after the other, behind him. This is the summary, in short, of the verdict on Friday at Mugello: Bagnaia finished with the second best performance of the day (second behind Viñales) with Marc third and Alex (Ducati Gresini) fourth. "Things - says Pecco - went well straight away. Even though in the morning the bike seemed a little nervous. We managed to understand and correct the situation and in the afternoon we did very well. I have good feelings even if I carry with me the regret of not having been able to do as I wanted on the last lap to attack the time again. I ran out of gas on the last attempt, but...".

But Bagnaia seems to have really understood that the Mugello GP could be the right and best event to try to reshuffle the cards in the title race. The feeling with the track has always been one of the strong points of Pecco's races. He knows it down to the millimeter, allowing him to play his cards even in the most extreme situations. "Here everything comes easy to me - underlines the Ducati rider - and I can also do things where the bike could limit me a bit". The question is inevitable: today in the Sprint and tomorrow in the race will we be able to see the super Pecco who only made an appearance in 2025? "We will still have to do something more than the work on Friday - he replies -. We will have to improve already from the free practice in the morning and then aim to play with our heads held high, also because I expect Viñales and Marc Marquez to be very fast as always". Here is the reference to Marc and what Marquez will be able to do during the qualifying and then in the Sprint to light up his Saturday at Mugello.

"Marc will be the fastest, I'm sure of it - Bagnaia's analysis -. But also watch out for Viñales. At Mugello, Maverick has always been very fast and a protagonist and what he did with the best time in pre-qualifying is confirmation of this". Marc Marquez meanwhile is preparing for the battle: "I expected something more, but I'm there and the race pace was still very good. The goal was to stay as close as possible to Pecco and Alex who here, in my opinion, are very fast". The program. Today the last free practice sessions of the MotoGp are at 10.10. MotoGp qualifying at 10.50. Sprint Race at 15. Tomorrow the races: 11 Moto3; 12.15 Moto2; 14 MotoGp. All live on the SkyMotoGp channel and streaming on Now.
