Moto GP, Dall'Igna: "Bagnaia can't work so hard for a third place"

Bologna, March 19, 2025 – A total domination by Marc Marquez in this start of the 2025 world championship. Official Ducati split in two. Marc's side Marquez is enthusiastic, with stellar performances and results, almost without rivals apart from his brother Alex on Ducati Gresini. Pecco's side, on the other hand, is experiencing the hardest moment since the Academy student has been riding the red bike. There is no feeling, no speed, the delay in the pace from Marquez is two tenths (in Moto GP it is almost an abyss), and for now no solution has been found on the new bike other than switching to the old one. In Austin Pecco could ride the Gp24 and Dall'Igna, in his usual post-weekend analysis, was clear: "Bagnaia needs to find his feeling again and this saddens me - his words -. I will not be satisfied with the results, which are otherwise excellent, until we give him the chance to show all his potential on the track and occupy the positions that he deserves".

The Ducati manager is aware that it is the team's duty to do something to help the rider: "We are working, but there is still a lot to do and I assure you of our maximum commitment. Pecco cannot work so hard for a third place, and without even reaching it", the engineer's message. There is great satisfaction for another Ducati hat-trick, crowned not only by Marc. Alex Marquez and Franco Morbidely are confirming the validity of the project: “Another all-Ducati podium and with five bikes in the top five positions – Dall'Igna again –. We will never get used to results of this level and it would be disrespectful towards the great work that everyone is doing. Consecutive victory number 19 and the thirtieth in the last thirty-one races”, the data reeled off by Gigi. And a chapter could not fail to be dedicated to Marc Marquez, back to his level in Honda.
