Sepang, October 31, 2024 – Jorge Martin he is not far from his first MotoGP world title, the second of his career after the Moto 3 one, and could make the number one move from the Ducati fairing to that of Aprilia, given that the Spaniard has embraced the cause of Noale after Borgo Panigale's choice to promote Marc Marquez on the official bike. It's not a problem for the men in red who, just like a year ago, treated the duelists equally, leaving them level playing field. No favoritism or team play for Pecco bagnaia who will have to, with his own strength, beat Jorge. It was not at all a given given Martin's exit from the scene starting in 2025. Gino Borsoi, Pramac team manager, underlined Ducati's great correctness.

Borsoi: “Ducati gave us all the tools”

An official 2024 bike despite not being in the official team. Jorge Martin had the same updates as bagnaia and since it was not possible to mount the new frame, tested in Misano, all the riders on the grid decided not to put it on anyone, not even Pecco who had found it very good. We go directly to 2025, confirming the fact that from Borgo Panigale there are no team orders or spokes in anyone's wheels: "Ducati has given us all the tools available to fight for the title and no other factory team has shown us the same type of support - Borsoi's words on the eve of the Sepang weekend - There has never been any unfairness towards us and no one has ever put spokes in our wheels. I thank them". For Pramac, the appointment with history is near, that is, winning a riders' title with an independent team. It would be eternal glory: "For us it is a privilege to fight for the world championship for the second year in a row and I thank Ducati because he gave us all the support possible to be competitive. It would be incredible for us to win the championship”. However, there is still work to do. Martin has a seventeen-point advantage and can always finish second from here to the end to win, but despite everything the pressure is still there and it is high: “We have improved from this point of view and we have understood what we were missing, Jorge has improved mentally and I have also learned that when the stressful moment arrives you have to be ready”. In Malaysia we start in the night between Thursday and Friday, with races scheduled at 8 in the morning both on Saturday with the Sprint and on Sunday with the long race. All this in the tragic hours of Valencia with the last GP at risk after the flooding of these days. The riders, for the most part, have expressed themselves: it is not right to race when people are suffering and dying. Dorna has taken its time for now.
