MotoGp, Campinoti and Yamaha: “He wants to return to the top. We have grown up”
Pramac team principal, reigning world champion, ready for new adventure in Yamaha: goal to return to the top, collaboration at every level

Paolo Campinoti
Bologna, February 1, 2025 – Jorge Martin will defend his world title aboard a Aprilia, Pramac instead he will do it by fielding two Yamaha as the second Factory team. Paolo Campinoti he chose to leave Ducati after a long militancy, crowned with the riders' title won in 2024, to move to Yamaha, which had been pushing for some time to have at least four bikes on the grid and close the gap from Borgo Panigale, which until last year had fielded eight. Thus begins the partnership between the three tuning forks and the Campinoti team with Jack Miller and Miguel Olive tree as a pair of riders, that is, expert profiles who can clearly direct the development line. The 2025 bikes were presented in Kuala Lumpur where the head of the structure was also present, who said he was honored to have been chosen by Yamaha, which has every intention of returning to the top.
Campinoti: “Yamaha’s strong commitment”
A new path, a new adventure. After many years with Ducati, Pramac has moved to Yamaha and will take on the role of the second Factory team of the Japanese manufacturer, which therefore returns to having four bikes on the grid and with the possibility of improving the prototypes during the season with more data available. Yamaha has recognized Pramac a great job done and therefore the choice on who to aim for for another two M1s on the grid was easy. The words of Campinoti: “In life there comes a time to embark on a new adventure, always looking for new challenges – the team principal thought – We are starting this new journey that marks the beginning of our second Factory Yamaha team, a manufacturer that has made the history of our sport and being chosen confirms the hard work done by our team in recent years”. A full recognition of a journey that has led the team to the riders' world title: “We have grown from a junior team to winning world titles and for four years in a row we have won the independent title. We then managed to impose ourselves in the 2023 team title and in the 2024 riders' title, victories that demonstrate our ability and our professionalism. In 2025 we want an even higher status”, again Campinoti. However, we must consider the technical crisis that has engulfed Yamaha , now two years away from Ducati and the top positions. Campinoti is however sure of the effort that the Japanese manufacturer will make to return to the places that deserve it: “It is demonstrating a strong commitment to return to the top and the improvement in performance at the end of last season demonstrates this – Campinoti concludes – The opportunity to have two more bikes will allow us to close the gap more quickly and we will collaborate openly and at every level. The vision is shared and we have already started developing the bike for some time. We are optimistic”. First GP from 28 February to 2 March in Buriram in Thailand.
