Buenos Aires March 15, 2025 - Still under the sign of Marc Marquez, as well as in Thailand also in Argentina. In qualifying at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, the Spanish driver keeps everyone at bay: over two tenths of a second of a second to snatch pole position for the second consecutive race. The same scenario as in the first race of the year is repeated with his brother Alex behind him, while he slips to fourth position bagnaia: little feeling for the Italian with the South American track. Surprising Johan zarco su Honda with third place, while the other Italians are further away: By Giannantonio sixth, Morbidely eighth and Bezzecchi ninth with the first Aprilia of the starting grid.

Qualifications 1

In the first qualifying round, as usual, the slowest drivers from the free practice sessions face off. Two places are up for grabs to then access Q2 and fight for the pole position. He makes things clear right away Franco Morbidelli in the session, with two top-level times, which distance all rivals by almost half a second. The time of 1:37:312 set by the Italian-Brazilian driver seems unapproachable for everyone but Miller vaguely seems to be able to stay in his slipstream. After the first attempt, the Australian driver finds himself in second place, ahead of the debutant Ogura, then followed by Mir, while all the others suffer another two tenths from the driver of the Honda

Some laps of the second attempt are invalidated by the fall of Chantra in the first sector. A yellow flag caused by the Thai that forces several drivers to lift their wrist from the gas. Among these, there is no Mir However, his first lap with the new set of tyres earned him second place at the expense of Miller, while Ogura he fails to improve enough, before falling during the tire cooling lap. No surprises in the last attempt, however: only Aldeguer improves, but not enough to threaten Morbidely o Mir, who get the pass for Q2. The others were eliminated in this order of arrival: Miller, Aldeguer, Ogura, Marini, Oliveira, Fernandez, Chantra, Viñales, Bastianini and Savadori.

Qualifications 2

Morbidely e Mir they thus join the ten fastest drivers in free practice chasing pole position for the Argentine Grand Prix. Not good bagnaia in the first round, while instead it immediately imposes its law Marc Marquez: first already in his first attempt. He inserts himself behind him zarco, in front of Alex Marquez, then Morbitdelli e QuarterlyPecco loses a lot in the third and fourth sectors, while it is there that the two brothers make the difference Marquez. So after the first series of attempts the eight-time World Champion driver took provisional pole, followed by his brother. Only eighth instead was the Italian driver of Ducati official, in the middle zarco third, followed by Bezzecchi, Acosta, By Giannantonio e Morbidely. The Italian-Brazilian driver was impressive in achieving this time on used tyres.

Continues to struggle in the second part of the circuit bagnaia, but manages to shorten the gap after the first attempt with a new tyre. The three-time World Champion in fact drags himself up to fourth place with his first lap with the second tyre, followed closely by Acosta, while improving but remaining behind Quarterly. The pilots' times all improved, but without substantially changing the ranking. The record of Marquez everyone caresses him, but only Marc himself manages to improve on him, breaking the one minute thirty-seven barrier, with a frightening 1:36:917. In the last attempt nobody improves and so after Thailand, it is pole position again for the Catalan, closely followed by his brother, then zarco surprisingly third, while he will start from the second row Pecco bagnaia with the fourth fastest time, given the mistake at turn 5 on his last attempt.
