Motogp, Martin: “No obsession, but I have the responsibility of having Aprilia on my shoulders”

His task is to carry the entire weight of Aprilia on his shoulders.

Up to here Jorge Martin he was one of the Ducati riders, but not the leader, the main striker, and in fact twice he was not chosen for the official bike, first 'defeated' by Enea bastianini and then from Marc Marquez. Now, things have changed. He is the captain of Aprilia, the man delegated to transport Noale to another dimension. A role that he has always wanted and desired, taking note of the situation in Ducati and packing up to go elsewhere. Pressure is now a friend, because without it you can't go fast: "I don't feel it, I will never have the great pressure of last year again - his words in Sepang, site of the pre-season tests - Now I have the responsibility of having an entire company on my shoulders and the pressure must continue, without that I don't think I can put on a show". And there is no obsession with winning because the first goal is to improve yourself, to then find a feeling with the bike: "Until I'm in the saddle I won't know how I'll feel, first I'll try the bike from the previous tests and then the one with the latest innovations. It will take time to adapt", again Martin. And here is the only obsession: "I want to improve my version, last year I had no obsessions of victory but I just wanted to do my best". But the real question is: Aprilia does he have the weapons to be able to counter Ducati? For Jorge Martin the answer is yes.
