MotoGP, Quartararo is also sure: "The world championship is 90% Martin's"
The Frenchman, world champion in 2021 and overtaken by Bagnaia in 2022, is certain: if nothing strange happens, Martin will win with a 90% chance. He must avoid risks

Bologna, November 11, 2024 – There are no chances for Pecco bagnaia to win the world championship and make it a hat-trick. Everything is going in Jorge's direction Martin, good at taking advantage of the sprints (48 more on Pecco) and standing with a considerable advantage with just one weekend to go. For Andrea Dovizioso 'Martin can handle' and also for Fabio Quarterly the world title is in the hands of the Spaniard, who can manage a 24-point advantage with 37 available in the last round in Barcelona. The former 2021 world champion, beaten in 2022 by Bagnaia who was able to recover 90 points, is certain of Martin's victory unless 'strange things' happen. In fact, Jorge can win the title with 14 points if Bagnaia were to arrive first in both the sprint and the long race. For someone like him who always gets on the podium, it's difficult to do less without mistakes or falls.
Quartararo: “If he doesn’t take risks he wins 90%”
Up until Sepang, the Pramac rider didn't manage much, indeed he took some risks with a spectacular duel with Bagnaia, who then managed to win his tenth GP of the season, on par with five greats of the world championship such as Agostini, Doohan, Rossi, Stoner and Marquez. But it wasn't enough because Jorge has a 24-point advantage thanks to the sprints and the world championship is in his hands, according to Fabio Quarterly, who won in 2021 with 5 victories and ten total podiums: "I don't know who will win the Barcelona race, but Jorge will win the world championship if nothing strange happens", his words reported by motorsport.com. In short, little hope for the Italian who could see the number one slip off his fairing and pass onto that of the Spaniard who would then take him to the Aprilia with which he has signed starting next year. Quarterly has almost no doubts: "Jorge still says it's 50-50, but from my point of view it's 90-10 for him. He just has to be smart and avoid risks". Mission impossible for bagnaia, who certainly won't start out defeated and will try to do his part by winning on Saturday and Sunday and then see if it was enough or not. Martin instead he cannot finish with equal points for a lower number of victories and must get at least 14: recovering 24 points in a single weekend is complicated for Pecco. Appointments set for 15pm on Saturday for the sprint race and 14pm on Sunday for the long race. Then the tests with a view to 2025 will start from the following Tuesday, with great anticipation for Marc's passage Marquez in official Ducati. The Spaniard will be chasing his ninth world title to equal Valentino Rossi and by riding the best bike on the grid he will have a great opportunity.
