Motogp, Rivola charges: “Aprilia is not aiming to participate, but to win”

Bologna, 3 February 2025 – Aprilia has invested and will invest a lot in Moto GP and the horizon is to get closer to Ducati and play for the world title. In terms of riders, the Noale house will have one of the best pairs on the grid with the reigning champion Jorge Martin supported by Marco's talent Bezzecchi, both left Ducati after the decision to include Marc Marquez on the official bike and with two less prototypes to use due to Pramac's move to Yamaha. Aprilia's ambitions are very high, therefore, and now it is necessary to make a competitive bike available to the two riders, in which the adaptation process is as rapid as possible. Only in this way can we think of containing the excessive power of Ducati which with Pecco and Marc risks dominating the season excessively. Rivola charges the environment a month before the start.  

Rivola: “Aprilia does not compete to participate”

A first ambitious move has been made: to hire the reigning champion. The second is to provide a competitive bike that is in line with his characteristics. The third is to reduce the adaptation times of the new riders to the bike as much as possible. The first response is therefore just around the corner, then we will go to Buriram for the second tests and at the end of the month the world championship starts in Thailand. Aprilia, today, there is therefore a new starting point, a new investment cycle with different objectives compared to the beginning of the adventure in Moto GP.
