Marc Marquez also won the sprint race in Buenos Aires ahead of his brother Laex and Pecco Bagnaia

Buenos Aires March 15, 2025 – Third consecutive podium, still all the same Ducati, yet Marc Marquez on the highest step. Change the circuit not the script of the MotoGP: he wins again, the cannibal with the number 93, ahead of his brother Alex and a Francis Bagnaia still third. Only crumbs left to his rivals starting from a zarco in great shape with his Honda in fourth place, followed by the Italian trio By Giannantonio, Bezzecchi su Aprilia e Morbidely.

The race

Great start from bagnaia who immediately enters behind the two brothers Marquez. Marc still perfect with his sprint from a standing start, also good at gaining several meters of advantage over his brother Alex, who manages to defend himself well from Pecco's attack. Great start by Pedro Acosta e Fabio Quarterly, immediately behind the first three Ducati. Less well zarco, who drops from third to sixth position after the start, only to then recover at least the position on his compatriot of Yamaha during the second lap. The only driver to leave the Sprint Race in the early stages was Brad Binder, which slips after contact with Franco Morbidelli: no penalty for the Italian-Brazilian driver, however.

There's an immediate brawl at the top, bagnaia leads the group of "others", while at the top Alex Marquez manages to get back on top of his brother in just a few laps. It takes a little longer to get going bagnaia, who however manages to shake off his pursuers after four laps, thus freezing the top positions for the start of this sprint race. On lap five they touch and fall Fermin Aldeguer e Miguel Oliveira, between the two, only the Spaniard resumes the race, that is, the rider who caused the accident, slipping inside the trajectory of the Portuguese and then causing him to fall from the bike.

In the middle of the group, three Italian riders made a significant comeback. Fabio DiGiannantonio drags behind it theAprilia di Marco Bezzecchi and the teammates Morbidely, forming a trio in fifth place behind zarco. Meantime bagnaia fails to close the gap on the leading duo, but maintains a margin over the Frenchman Honda of the team Lucio Cecchinello. In front of the group, the two Marquez brothers dominate the race: Marc check it out Alex, but the pace of the pilot Gresini he is very tall and shows no signs of taking his breath away from the pilot's neck Ducati official. In the meantime, after an excellent start, they are gradually falling, both Acosta, both Quarterly, which fall to the limits of the top ten, also surpassed by Joan mir with the Honda official. The all-Spanish body-to-body battle between the KTM rider and the 2020 world champion was also very entertaining.

But with three laps to go he thinks about it Marc Marquez to definitively close the accounts also on this third race. The number 93 shakes off his brother and launches into a solo escape, which is not stopped until the passage under the checkered flag. Alex Marquez for his part he makes no mistakes and alone obtains the third second place in three races, as well as bagnaia does with the lowest step of the podium. We see again the same podium observed both in Sprint and in Regular race in Thailand, also in this first race of the Argentine weekend at Termas de Rio Hondo.
