Livorno, 14 October 2024 – «I had been thinking about changing for some time, go back to my area to continue to grow and reach new goals. I waited the Paris Olympics, because I didn't want any distractions before that big event, but now everything is ready for this new step, which also brings me closer to my family". The Olympian Amber Sabatini, gold in the 100 in Tokyo and at the 2023 World Championships and Italian flag bearer at the 2024 Paralympics, thus explains the choice to make Livorno his new home. «I'm tidying up the house these days», announcing news also from a sporting point of view, also focusing on the long jump. «Livorno is a city that I know well, I'm from Argentario, and it's a center that offers a lot also from the point of view of sporting activities. The presence of Fabrizio Mori, also from Livorno and who will be my coach, has strengthened my understanding".

The project of dedicating herself to the long jump as well, for the 22 year old champion is an investment in the future, which is looking above all at the next Paralympics in Los Angeles 2028, without neglecting the speed with which she has an open account after the unfortunate final in Paris. "I wanted to try this thing and Fabrizio will be able to indicate a specific coach to follow me - underlines the Italian -. I think I'll start working at the beginning of next month, in view of an outdoor season that will also be long, given that the world championships will be held in November". After over two and a half years spent at the Guardia di Finanza Sports Centre in Castelporziano, Sabatini thus turns the page, but with great gratitude for the work carried out near Rome, in particular under the guidance of Pasquale Porcelluzzi, «which made me grow so much».
